Belvedere Plantation
With its elevated greens and tree lined fairways, Belvedere will
always be a challenge. The holes at Belvedere flow naturally through
the woods. This is not a long course, but it's a tough 6,400 yards
from the back tees. The greens are bent with 419 Bermuda fairways.
Stay and play at Belvedere.

The Cape Golf & Racquet Club
You'll find tall pines, narrow fairways, well-bunkered greens and
marsh areas that will make you know you're playing coastal golf.
The Cape is situated between the Atlantic Ocean & the Cape Fear
River. The wind is normally up, and that makes this layout even
more challenging. Keep your eyes open on the 6th green, you may
get to see some baby alligators. Host course for a 1997 NGA Hooters
Tour event.

Castle Bay
The newest addition to Wilmington area golf. Castle Bay opened to
rave reviews in November of 1999. Castle Bay will surely give Coastal
Golfaway golfers a unique day of golf if you choose to play this
links style layout. Just north of Wilmington, near Hampstead, Castle
Bay is truly unlike any other course in the area.
Echo Farms Golf Club
6800 yards from the back tees says it all. This course can play
long, and it normally does. Don't worry about Echo ruining a good
score though. Excellent bentgrass greens. Challenging, but fair.
Echo Farms is an original combination of open holes landscaped in
the Scottish motif. Enjoy the Echo experience. Host course for a
NGA Hooters Event for the last 3 years. Probably the most improved
course in Wilmington after a recent major renovation.

Magnolia Greens
One of the newest additions to Wilmington area golf is located 5
minutes SW of historic downtown on highway 17. A convenient course
from any Wilmington area hotel, but it's convenient as well for
a golfer that's driving to the Myrtle Beach area. How is this possible?
If you're driving from Wilmington, or even from Raleigh to Myrtle
Beach you'll pass by Magnolia Greens. Once there, you'll wish you
had scheduled Magnolia Greens twice. It's a superb property, new,
and a delight to play. The 27 hole course was designed by Tom Jackson.
Host course for the 1998 & 1999 PGA Tour first stage Q-School.

Members Club at St. James Plantation
The second addition at St. James Plantation is certainly a treat.
This Hale Irwin design is "player friendly", especially for the
golfer who loves to find wide fairways off the tee. Most new courses
tend to lack maturity, this one certainly does not. Chances are
you'll have a pretty good score going at the Members Club if you're
in control of your game but watch out for the 15th, 16th, and 17th
holes. Be content to make par.

Player's Club at St. James Plantation
The newest addition at St. James Plantation. This Timothy Cate design
may be best of the 3 St.James courses. Wonderful layout, probably
not as tough as The Founders, but more a bit more challenging than
the Members Club. The Players Club was crafted carefully to enhance
the spectacular, natural beauty of the unspoiled coastal landscape.
